Mid Towne Village is an urban redevelopment project located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids’ rapidly growing “Medical Mile.” This mixed- use project, designed as a walkable, campus-like community, includes a 15,000 square foot park and over 200,000 square feet of building space.
Mid Towne Village consists of over 100,000 square feet of medical office space, 60,000 square feet of professional office and retail and 40,000 square feet of Chicago-style Brownstone condominiums. Special efforts in this project involved working with the City of Grand Rapids Planning Department to secure city approval to redevelop this blighted neighborhood. This involved acquiring 48 residences and working with the neighborhood association and concerned neighbors.
This project was the first project in Grand Rapids and one of only two in the state to earn Brownfield tax credits based on blighted conditions. This project was awarded the Commercial Alliance of Realtors “Project of the Year” award for 2004. This project was a finalist for the Neighborhood Business Alliance’s “Best New Construction” award for 2007.
